As a result of increasing complexity in our UK and overseas Engineering sites we have created the new role of Project Manager to control a range of design and development projects.
Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role encompasses most aspects of our development cycle, including:
Co-ordinating project development activities in collaboration with the team managers in the UK and India to ensure the products meet in-house and international specifications.
Liaison with the Sales and Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Test teams from design through to production stages, including chairing weekly progress meetings.
Creating and maintaining the project development plans, and tracking and progress-chasing the developments to maintain timelines and budgets.
- Responsibility for ensuring that the environmental tests are performed according to the specification required.
Improving our development processes.
The project co-ordination and tracking function encompasses activities in our UK, India and USA sites, though the role is UK based. We have many active developments constantly in progress at various stages of development, and the Project Manager will be responsible for identifying and implementing strategies for the optimum completion of these projects.
